MojeKroměříž – home page

This is a translation for information. The Czech version is legally binding.

At MojeKroměříž.cz we collect only the data we really need. Here you will find which data that is, why we have it, how long we keep it and what rights you have.

Who processes the data

The controller of personal data is HexaDesign s.r.o., Company ID (IČ) 07649941, with its registered office at Jiráskova 834/14, 767 01 Kroměříž, Czech Republic, entered in the Commercial Register kept by the Regional Court in Brno, Section C, File 109328 (hereinafter “we”). You can write to us at info@mojekromeriz.cz.

Newsletter

  • What we store: your e-mail, the topics you selected, when and from where you subscribed, your IP address and the wording of the consent you saw at the form.
  • Why: so that we can send you, once a week, an overview of events, news from the magazine and from the official notice board, and tips and offers from our partners. The legal basis is your consent. We keep the record of consent so that we can prove it.
  • Confirmation: the subscription takes effect only once you click the link in the confirmation e-mail and confirm the subscription on the page. We delete unconfirmed sign-ups within 30 days. If an address that previously unsubscribed signs up again, we store the new consent only after it has been confirmed.
  • How long: for as long as you are subscribed. After you unsubscribe, we keep only the e-mail and the date of unsubscribing, so that we do not send you anything by mistake and can prove the unsubscription. You can ask us by e-mail to delete this record as well.
  • Unsubscribing: at any time using the link in every e-mail. Withdrawing consent does not affect what we sent before.
  • Measurement: for each e-mail sent, we record whether it was opened (loading of an image in the e-mail) and which links you clicked. We use the results only in aggregate to improve the content; we do not create profiles of individual readers. The legal basis is our legitimate interest. You can stop open tracking by turning off images in your e-mail client.

Saved events and the My Kroměříž account

  • Without an account: the events you save remain only in your browser (localStorage). They do not reach us, and you delete them by clearing your browser data. Only the fact that someone saved an event is counted in the statistics of interest in events (see Statistics below), not who did it.
  • The account is voluntary. You create it by entering your e-mail and clicking the link we send you. We do not use passwords.
  • What we store: your e-mail, when you created the account and when you last signed in, saved events, followed towns and villages, and the devices on which you are signed in (browser type and when you last used it). When a sign-in link is sent, we also briefly store the IP address so that we can stop misuse.
  • Why: so that we can show you your saved events on all devices and remind you of them. The legal basis is the performance of the service you requested. The Friday e-mail from the account is the newsletter (see above) and we send it only with your consent.
  • Sign-in: you are kept signed in on a device by the mk_account cookie, valid for one year. It is necessary for the account to work, so we do not need your consent for it.
  • How long: for as long as the account exists. We delete sign-in links after one day. You can delete the account with all its data yourself in My Kroměříž → Account and privacy.

Management of a place by a business

The operator of a place can take over the profile of their place in a My Kroměříž account, edit its details and add offers.

  • What we store: which place the account manages, how we verified the takeover (a match with the e-mail listed for the place, or manually) and your message accompanying the request. For every change to the place’s details (description, opening hours, contacts), we record the original and the new value, when the change was made and the e-mail of the account that made it. For offers, we remember the account that last saved them.
  • Why: so that we can tell that the place really is managed by its operator, and so that in the event of an error or dispute we can trace and revert changes. The legal basis is the performance of the service you requested and our legitimate interest in correct data in the catalogue.
  • Who sees it: our editorial team. The place details and offers you publish are public.
  • How long: for as long as you manage the place. We delete the account e-mail attached to a change of place details one year after the change; the change itself remains as part of the catalogue history. Deleting the account ends the takeover. Published place details remain in the catalogue, and offers remain without a link to your account.

Forms on the website

  • Reporting an error at a place or event: the text of the report and, optionally, an e-mail so that we can ask follow-up questions. After it has been handled, we keep the report as part of the change history; we delete the e-mail attached to it one year after it was handled.
  • Add an event: the organiser’s name, e-mail and, optionally, telephone number and message. They are used only to process the event and we do not publish them. We delete them one year after the event takes place.
  • Enquiry about an offer: name, e-mail and, optionally, telephone number and the text of the enquiry. We pass them on to the operator of the place who posted the offer so that they can reply to you: we send them by e-mail and the operator will also see them in the management of their place. From that moment on, the operator also handles them. On our side, we delete the enquiry two years after it was sent.

The legal basis is handling your request (that is, what you yourself ask us for). To prevent the forms from being misused to send spam, we count for a short time how many times they have been submitted from one IP address. We do not store the IP address with the submitted form, and the counter expires after one hour at the latest.

Businesses, doctors and schools in the catalogue

We take data on healthcare service providers and schools from public registers (the National Register of Healthcare Service Providers, the Register of Schools and School Facilities of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports). For self-employed natural persons we publish only the public establishment (e.g. a surgery), never the address of the registered office. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in informing the public about services in the region. If something about an entry bothers you, write to us.

Searching on the website

What you search for on the website and on the map is stored without any link to you: the search term, how many results were found and which result you clicked. We do not store the IP address or your account, only a random identifier of the browser tab, so that a search can be linked to a click. We use the records only to improve the website (for example, what people search for and do not find). Your most recent search terms are remembered only by your browser (localStorage), and you delete them by clearing your browser data.

Traffic statistics for places, offers and events

We show operators of places how many people viewed the profile of their place and their offers over the last 30 days and how many clicked on the telephone number, website, e-mail or the offer button. For events, we track how many people viewed their detail page and how many saved them (the Save button, also without an account). We store only daily totals, never who it was.

  • How we count people: so that one person is not counted more than once, we create a one-way fingerprint from the IP address and the browser type. We add a random key to the calculation that changes every day. We do not store the IP address itself, and it cannot be derived back from the fingerprint. Visits from different days cannot be linked together.
  • How long: we delete the fingerprints on the following day. Only daily totals remain, without any link to you.
  • Why: so that operators can see whether their profile and offers bring them customers, so that we know which events people are interested in, and so that we can prevent artificial inflation of the numbers. The legal basis is our legitimate interest. We do not use cookies or browser storage for this.

Images from car park webcams

To estimate car park occupancy, we store images from the public webcams of the town of Kroměříž every 10 minutes between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m. We do not publish the images; they are used only for the automatic estimate of free spaces. Vehicles and people may be captured in them; we do not search for or identify anyone in them. They are deleted automatically after 14 days. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in providing information about the situation at car parks.

Traffic measurement and cookies

We measure traffic via Google Analytics only with your consent. On pages whose address contains a personal link (signing in to the account, newsletter subscription settings), we do not measure at all. Details and settings can be found on the Cookies page.

To whom we pass data

  • website hosting: VSHosting s.r.o., Company ID 61505455, Sodomkova 1579/5, 102 00 Praha 10, servers in a data centre in Prague;
  • the e-mail sending service: WEDOS Internet, a.s., Company ID 28115708, Masarykova 1230, 373 41 Hluboká nad Vltavou, servers in the Czech Republic;
  • operators of places, only in the case of an enquiry about their offer;
  • Google Ireland Ltd. (Google Analytics), only with your consent to cookies;
  • Anthropic, PBC (USA), the provider of the artificial intelligence tool Claude, which helps the editorial team sort and verify error reports, events submitted by the public, requests to take over places, and offers. It receives only the data needed for processing (the text of the report or request, or the sender’s contact details where applicable), it decides nothing by itself and the editorial team always checks the result. This means that data are transferred to the USA. The transfer is safeguarded by standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission (Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2021/914), which form part of the data processing agreement with Anthropic. We will send you their wording on request.

We do not sell data and do not use it for automated decision-making.
