Wech Manor
The manor in Štěchovice was a free fief since time immemorial. It is recorded as early as the end of the 15th century under Bishop Stanislav Thurzo, when the squire Vilém Kurovský of Vrchlabí farmed here. After him, a series of the bishop's vassals from the minor nobility followed. In the first half of the 17th century the manor belonged to the Lords Lev of Rožmitál, which is why it was called Lvovský.
In 1823 the estate was bought by the burgher Josef Bratránek. His daughter married the pharmacist and Kroměříž mayor Antonín Wech, after whom the manor is named today. During the Imperial Diet in 1848, the state printing house was moved here from Vienna.
The late Baroque manor building resembles a small aristocratic chateau. It is part of the Kroměříž urban heritage reservation.
