Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Holešov
A Gothic chapel stood on the square in Holešov as early as the beginning of the 14th century. The present Baroque church was completed in 1708 and consecrated in 1735.
Its interior features sculptural work by Jan Jiří Schauberger and Ondřej Zahner. The best-known part of the church is the Black Chapel, finished in 1748 for Count František Antonín of Rottal, with life-size sculptures by Gottfried Fritsch. The crypt beneath it is not open to the public.
