Parking in Kroměříž

When parking in the town center, you have to count on being obliged to pay. Most of the parking spaces are paid. The parking fee may be paid cash in a parking clock or via phone with a text message (possible only with a Czech phone number). The capacity of parking spaces is, however, limited which is evident especially during work-day afternoons.

WOULD YOU LIKE TO PARK FOR FREE?

The town center is usually quite full and paying the whole day parking can get expensive. For long-term parking in Kroměříž, we therefore suggest to find a spot out of the town center. The town is not especially big and all parking lots are never further than 10 to 15-minutes away. Like this you will spare some nerves when searching for a parking spot.

• Do not park right in the town center, but in the surrounding streets.
• Parking in the center is free in designated times in the evenings and through nights.

Small free parking lots are usually available at supermarkets: Kaufland, Tesco, Lidl, Albert. Other parking possibilities: town cemetery, Ice rink, Public swimming pool, Floria fair and exhibition grounds - available for buses (during the exhibitions is parking paid).

PAID STREET PARKING

Parking in the town center parking zones is paid in the following times:

• Mon - Fri: 7 AM - 6 PM
• Sat 7 AM - 1 PM

In parking zone 3:

• Mon - Fri: 7 AM - 5 PM
• Sat 7 AM - 1 PM

During all other times, parking is free of charge.

There are 5 parking zones in Kroměříž Each zone has a specific price as well as time limits. All necessary information may be found directly on parking clocks:

• Zone 1: the main square - Velké Náměstí
• Zone 2: Blahoslavova street, Jánská street, Křižná street, Masarykovo náměstí, Moravcova street, Nábělkova street, Pilařova street, Riegrovo náměstí, and Vejvanovského street.
• Zone 3: Albertova street, Náměstí Míru
• Zone 4: Malý Val street
• Zone 5: Chropyňská street (parking for buses)
• Zone 6: Flower Garden

Prolonging of the parking is possible by sending a new text message.

Note: Your phone must have a Czech telecommunication provider and enabled service called "Premium SMS".

 

3. PARKING WITH A PARKING CARD

Some hotels offer a parking card (transmittable card, which allows you to park on designated parking spaces).

The cards are transmittable without the need of giving your plate registration number.
